Arming Modes with Eva Alarm

With Eva Alarm, you can choose different arming modes depending on whether you are at home, asleep, or away. Each mode can be customized so that only the alarm devices you want are active.

This allows you, for example, to have door and window sensors active at night while keeping motion sensors indoors deactivated.
 

Arming modes

Custom

Custom is used for whatever you want.

This is suitable if you want your own combination of sensors—for example, if certain rooms, doors, or windows should be monitored while others should not be able to trigger the alarm.

Night

Night is used when you are at home and going to sleep.

Typically, door and window sensors can be selected as active alarm sensors, while motion sensors inside the home are not selected. The alarm can then be triggered if a door or window is opened, without normal movement inside the home triggering the alarm.

Away

Away is used when no one is home.

This mode is suitable when you leave the home and want relevant alarm sensors to be able to trigger the alarm, such as door and window sensors and motion sensors.

How to customize an arming mode

1. Navigate to the Eva Alarm card through the Home or Administration page
   • Tap the Eva Alarm overview on the Home page, or
   • Tap Administration in the bottom-right corner of the app, and select Eva Alarm
2. Under Arming, select the arming mode you want to customize, such as Away
3. Select which alarm sensors should be able to trigger the alarm in this mode
4. Tap Save

Repeat the steps for each arming mode you want to customize.

Setup examples

Night

• Door and window sensors can trigger the alarm
• Motion sensors indoors are not selected

Away

• Door and window sensors can trigger the alarm
• Motion sensors can trigger the alarm
• Other relevant safety devices may be selected

Custom

• You choose which alarm sensors should be able to trigger the alarm and for what purpose

Important to know

The arming modes determine which alarm sensors can trigger the intrusion alarm in the current mode.

Fire alarms and water alarms can still issue alerts regardless of which arming mode you use.
