What arming and disarming alarms entail
In the Eva Alarm solution, you have four arming modes: Home, Day, Night, and Away. These arming modes apply to burglary alerts in the Eva Smart Home app.
Arming means that your home is set to an arming mode, where devices such as door/window sensors or motion sensors are activated to detect unwanted movement in your home when you are away.
Disarming has two meanings:
- Disarming an arming mode ensures that devices like door/window sensors and motion sensors will not trigger alerts for unwanted movement in your home.
- Disarming an ongoing alarm allows you to turn off the alarm/siren when an event has occurred. This applies to burglary, fire, and water leakage alarms.
1A) Here's how you arm your home in the Eva Smart Home app:
- Tap on the "Away" arming mode.
- If you have set a 6-digit PIN code, enter it.
- The alarm will be activated in 30 seconds.
If you haven't set a PIN code, you can do so by going to "User and Access" in the alarm card.

3) Here's how you reset the alarm in the Eva Smart Home app:
If the alarm goes off, you can disarm the alarms either by entering the PIN code on the code panel or through the app. When you turn off the alarm, it will be inactive for about 2 minutes before it functions normally again. The smoke detector will operate as usual and trigger in case of a fire, regardless of whether the alarm is activated or deactivated.
To reset alarms through the app, follow these steps:
- Tap on the relevant alarm message in the app to access the alarm page.
- Here, you will find the option "Reset Alarms."
- Tap "Reset Alarms," and it will take you to a page where you can turn off the alarm and enter your personal PIN code.
Make sure you have control over the situation before turning off the alarm.
