Automations when an alarm is triggered

With Eva Alarm, you can create automations that perform specific actions when an alarm is triggered.

For example, you can:

• turn on lights during a burglary alarm
• activate a camera via a compatible smart plug
• turn off a washing machine during a water alarm

This requires that you have Eva Alarm activated.

How to Set Up an Automation with Eva Alarm

1. Open the Eva Smart Home app
2. Go to Automations
3. Tap the + at the top right
4. Select What should happen?
5. Choose the action to be performed, for example:
   • turn on lights
   • turn a compatible smart plug off/on
   • activate another compatible device
6. Tap When should it happen?
7. Select the alarm type that should trigger the automation, for example:
   • burglary alarm
   • fire alarm
   • water alarm
8. Name and save the automation

Examples of Automations When an Alarm is Triggered

Camera On During Burglary Alarm

You need:

• compatible smart plug
• camera powered through the smart plug

What should happen?
The smart plug turns on

When should it happen?
When a burglary alarm is triggered

Lights On During Fire Alarm

You need:

• compatible light bulbs or compatible smart plug

What should happen?
Lights or smart plug turn on

When should it happen?
When a fire alarm is triggered

Washing Machine Off During Water Alarm

You need:

• compatible smart plug
• washing machine connected to the smart plug

What should happen?
The smart plug turns off
