Datek Contact Switch

Datek Contact Switch ensures that you always have control over your home! It is small and location friendly. You attach the sensor to the door or to your window with double-sided tape. You get a full overview in the app of doors and windows.


  1. Loosen the docking by pushing on it to access the battery.
  2. Remove the battery tab from the device  (see the illustration).
  3. Follow the further steps in the Eva Smart Home app.


Pairing Contact Switch to the Hub/Gateway

  1. Go into the Eva Smart Home app and follow the instructions

Factory Reset

  1. Press and hold the function button on the Contact Switch for more than 10 seconds to reset it to factory settings and put it in pairing mode

Note: LED lights will repeat 3 green flashes with a brief pause to indicate that the device is in pairing mode/reset.

Placement of the Datek Contact Switch

You can place the door/window sensor in door or window frames and secure it using double-sided tape.

Note: Before attaching the Contact Switch, ensure that the device displays the correct open/close status with a red LED light and shows the correct status in the smart home app.

Note: Make sure the sensor is mounted in such a way that the distance between the sensor and magnet is less than 15 mm. Both parts have markings to assist with proper alignment with each other.


LED indications

LED is OFF (normal) During normal operation, the LED lights will be off
1 short red flash The sensor is opened (only if the LED light is activated)
2 short green flashes  User initiated short poll
Repetitive: 3 quick green flash and pause LED light flashes 3 short green flashes every second to indicate that the sensor is in pairing mode
1 second green flash ON/OFF Identify
Red and green alternately The device starting up

Using the button

If the function button is held in:
More than 10 seconds Factory reset
More than 6 seconds Turn off flashing during opening/closing
More than 2 seconds Activate “Short poll” in 2 minutes
Short push and connected to the hub  Send “IAS supervision”

  • For indoor use only
  • Can be used in temperatures ranging from 0 ºC to 40 ºC.  
  • This product is not a toy, keep out of reach of children.  
  • Do not place near any heating source or in direct sunlight, as this may cause overheating.  
  • Only use correct type of batteries. Risk of fire or explosion, if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. 
  • Do not use the equipment in case of any visible damage. 
  • Dispose of used batteries according to instructions.
